Apple's ex-CFO: I warned Jobs on options

http://money.cnn.com/2007/04/24/news/companies/apple_cfo.reut/index.htm?postversion=2007042416

This article talk about Apple's ex-CFO Fred Anderson blaming Apple' CEo Steve Jobs for backdating stock option in 2001. I think this happen before sarbanes-oxley took effect. I think that I read somewhere that there are lots of executive who are in the same boat as Fred Anderson. Also can any clarify what backdating mean. I kinda know a little about it. Back dating is when you sell or hold stock option until it hit low. this way you can avoid the tax bracket from the IRS right. Any good accounting can clarify this.
