I don't know how many of you use Gmail, a service by Google, but if you don't- you should! I used to have a Yahoo account, but switched to Gmail about a year ago after I found out about their services. Gmail automatically organizes your emails, grouping them by conversation, by the email's subject. With Gmail you don't have to delete emails or create folders for them. Gmail allows you to "archive" an email to get it out of your inbox. When you need to find an email, all you have to do is search for it using Google's amazing search engine. You only have to type a key word or phrase and your search will bring up every time that word or phrase was used. The search will bring up complete conversations so you never have to worry about "not knowing the context", or subject matter. Gmail also allows users to chat with other members while logged in to their inbox. Take a look.
Google also recently played a joke on April Fools day. They pretended to offer a service that they reallly didn't have. I don't know how many people fell for the joke, but I thought it was funny. It just shows how relaxed and cool it must be to work for Google.
Also, if you were unaware, Google offers a bunch of other services also. Check them out.

Tell me about Gmail's spam control? My current email address is pretty much ruined with 3-20 pieces of spam coming in every night.
Another friend told me Gmail was great, and I like that I can keep the same address even if I switch ISPs.

I just recently began using Gmail. I give it two thumbs up so far.
I also recently began using Google Groups for projects that I'm working on with other people. It's working out really well.
Surfpup,
Unfortunately, I used my Gmail account to enter a drawing and I started to receive spam. Gmail detects most of it and deletes it automatically after 30 days. You can manually delete it before then if you want. You could also mark certain email as "spam" and it will automatically get set to the spam folder. It was a bummer that I started to receive spam, but I still think Gmail is awesome.
Spark Plug,
I use Google documents and spreadsheets, you could publish either and invite friends to collaborate. This works great for term papers and group homework.
