Security Problems
In the past I've only suffered a couple of security problems with my computer, they were closer to annoyances than serious problems. Security management is extremely important, both on the job and at home. The Internet is definitely a 'hotbed' for malwares, especially harmful to new users. My computer has been infected with spyware, but nothing too serious. When I started using ZoneAlarm Internet Security Suite I never had another problem. One of the biggest flaws in the XP firewall system is the lack of outbound protection. This means if serious malware gets installed on your system it can send your data out to other computers. There are a few good firewall products out there that can stop this and ZoneAlarm is one of the best ones.

Is ZoneAlarm free? I have never heard of it. Now I use the school computers, not my laptop. However, I rum free software for malware and anti-virus and I haven't had a problem yet. I wonder if it's because I rarely use that computer anymore? I started using the Macs and I hear that they don't get as many viruses anyway. Do you know anything about that?
Uncle Shanky.
Yes, I believe Macs are less prone to viruses. There are may good free software applications for these things. The ZoneAlarm firewall is free but their Security suite (firewall,anti-virus & spyware) is not free.
