Microsoft Wants To Double The Number Of PCs In The World By 2015

By 2015 Microsoft wants to wants to double the amount of PC's in the world by 2 billion. In order to do this they also want to sell windows software to governments of emerging countries. By doing this Microsoft can increase sales and give children of less fortunate countries a chance to have a computer. By selling the software Microsoft can reduce the number of pirated software. There are some problems that they might run into such as connectivity to the Internet, maintenance, and training. I think this is a good idea but it seems like Microsoft is doing this with the interest of increasing profits and reducing pirated software.

Of course they are doing it to increase their profits, but they have to. It is a big goal for the software giant. I think they can do it. They have enough money to start that campaign. It'll be interesting to see how it goes. I wonder how this will affect Apple. Their new computers can run windows because of the Intel processors. Interesting.

I agree that it is good that Microsoft is doing something to give back to society. However, I think it would be better for them to make their products cheaper and pay their workers better instead of giving tons of money to Africa. They made that money off of all the people who have bought Microsoft products in the past.
