Send windows XP to sleep

If i takes a long time for windows XP to shut down, just set it to hibernate. XP can go days or even weeks between boots if everything is working properly so why shut if down. when you hibernate the content of your RAM is copied to your hard drive, you save the same power as if the computer was shut off, and its faster to wake it up from hibernating than rebooting.
