I file my taxes online and I would hate for something to go wrong. Errors like the one that happened with TurboTax caused people who had filed between 3 p.m. PDT Tuesday to 4 a.m. PDT Wednesday to be late according to the IRS filing period limitations. However there is something to be said for waiting until the last minute to file, Intuit (the company that supports the TurboTax software) said they believe that the increased amount of use of the software at this time was part of the problem. Luckily for the procrastinators the federal government will not be penalizing those affected. Also Intuit will be refunding all the filing fees associated with these filings.

All day Tuesday, I was unable to file my taxes online thru TurboTax. I ended up having to file for an extension and then send my taxes by snailmail the next day. It was a big pain. Next year I plan to file early.
