WINDOWS VISTA

To whom it may concern,

Have you heard the news on trends with WINDOWS VISTA, well let me tell you what I just finished reading. According to PCWORLD, May 2007 “Real World Vista” article states; the operating system seems to be running slower, there is a endless series of Accept or Cancel messages from Vista’s User Account Control features, and software and hardware compatibilities is still trying to be ironed out.

Vista interface looks good. Although, the most problematic products are hardware and software, for instance hardware, graphic boards, sound cards, webcams, wi-fi adapters, media card and media card reader. Also softwares, antivirus, firewall, media player, system utility and web browsers seem to having capabilities problems.

The article references Vista’s best feature improvements are, interface, security navigation, networking and performance. Window has updated its operating system for handheld devices and smart phones, this upgrade will enhance editing Office documents via e-mail. Windows Mobile 6 simplifies e-mail account setup, provides shortcuts to management tasks such as replying to all or deleting a message.

Under Vista’s default settings, you must verify every system change—a procedure that helps prevent rogue software from installing itself but puts a burden on users.

Final thoughts on Window Vista, I believe Window Vista is not ready for CSUSM students and we should not buy this operating system just yet. We as student do not need the headaches of dealing with operating systems that are not completely perfected. Because, we have papers due, projects to turn in and deadlines to meet.

Everyone knows better than to buy a new version of Microsoft Windows within the first year of its release.

It’s not worth the hassle.

Regards,
Raul
