I read about the Worldwide Developers Conference that is going to meet in Washington DC this year. The conference is put on by Apple. There is a student section on the website. It'd be sweet to go because you could meet software engineers to ask questions about their programs. It seems like I am constantly learnign how to better use programs that I've used forever. Programs like Microsoft Word, Excel, and now Access. It'd be cool to meet some Apple people to ask them about their versions of Microsoft applications. Also, to ask them about OS X. Supposedly, Leopard, is going to make harnessing digital life a whole lot easier.

I've always admired the Mac Operating Systems. A lot of times it seems like Windows is a step behind. When new features are added, it sometimes seems like they are borrowed from Mac innovations.
I've never owned a Mac, though. There are certain programs (mostly games) that I just won't give up which are written for Windows and not the Mac OS.
Now Macs have Intel processors and can be made to run Windows XP. How does that work out? Can you create a dual-boot system? How does XP perform on the new Macs? Is it compatible enough to run Windows XP games?
My Mac knowledge is pretty lacking.

Honestly, I don't know how to answer all of your questions. I forgot the name of the program that lets you switch back-and-fourth between operating systems without logging out or restarting the computer. It was pretty impressive to watch though.
Mac advertises its computers as running Windows the same as a PC. The new notebooks have dual core processors and a bunch of RAM. They are also extreamly upgradeable. The newest desktop is the Mac Pro, and upgrades to 16GB of RAM and like 14TB of hard drive. It has an 8-Core processor. It is pretty psycho. However, I think Web designers and other "art" people use macs. I haven't heard of many gamers using them- but then again, I'm not into gaming. I'm actually not into that "art" stuff either...Interesting.
