Solid State Hard Drive's

For those that use laptops and have the fear that droping it or bumping it to hard might crash your hard drive there is a new solution on the market. It's called a Solid State Drive (SSD). Think of this as a over sized memory card that you use in your camera that has no moving parts. On top of that it is shock proof, meaning you can drop it and the data is safe as long as you don't put a bullet threw the drive. SSD is the future of laptop's and maybe even desktops by 2012. Right now there is a 16G, 32G and now a 128G sized hard drive for consumer use. They are expensive as the technology is new, but eventually they should be cheaper than disk drives as they are easier to manufacture.
