Nintendo to boost production of the Wii

I think this is a bad move for Nintendo. They are currently winning the Console Wars and the demand is stable for them. To me, increasing the production of the Wii will kill them in the long run since there support of games isn't that too great compared to the Xbox 360.

Why is it a bad move to increase production on something that there is a shortage of?
If there is a shortage, there are customers waiting to buy, who can't, because there aren't enough? I seldom think it's a good business strategy to make customers with cash in hand wait to give you their money.
I don't believe in the "let's create demand with an artificial shortage" type of strategy.
The more Wii's that are sold, the more software developers will be willing to support the platform.

It may be good in the short run, but right now we are entering a new era in the Console wars. Not like it matters because the Wii is outselling the PS3 and Xbox 360 combined but it lacks the software support that both other consoles have.
