.tv

There are do many domain names of countries (.uk .au .jp .nz .cn .hk etc….)

What is the most valuable domain in the world???

Have you ever heard “Tuvalu Island”??
It is a very small and beautiful country, and its country code is ".tv"

American company .TV Corporation, called DotTV, agreed to pay Tuvalu about THREE TIMES the country's gross domestic product over the next decade.

This country makes $50 million a year in royalties from the ability to sell Internet names and electronic mail addresses ending in Tuvalu's country code, ".tv."

I think .tv is the most valuable domain name.

Well that island just got hooked up! See even if you are a small island that no one knows or cares about...you could still have something very valuable that someone needs...and if it happens to be the United States, you've definitely done well. That's a crazy story! I wonder how much their GDP is?

According to the website from US Department of State, it's GDP is $20 million(2005).

It says that "Initial windfall income from the domain name paid most of the costs of paving the streets of Funafuti and installing street lighting in mid-2002. "

I like this story.
". tv".....The country is so lucky!!
