Plastic goods for your compost heap

This is cool. They have developed a plastic substitute made of organic materials. The plastic substitute decomposes in a few months rather than over thousands of years. Not only will this lower the amount of trash in the landfills but it will also release some of the demand on petroleum. Currently 10% of petroleum is used to make plastics. With this product we will be less reliant of oil.

This is cool. I wonder how many companies will go green and use the new plastics? It seems like companies are so concerned about every penny. I wonder how companies can be encouraged to spend a little more for the environmentally friendly products? Maybe have tax breaks for companies that spend more because of eco-friendliness?

Plastic products are not good for environment, but companies are still making plastic goods.
